Hodge Podge

I had several sessions while I was home this month and here’s just a few random shots…

My brother, Gordon. It’s really hard for me to believe that he’s a senior this year!

Some fun seniors!

I decided to do something crazy and took 3 highschool seniors out for a photoshoot. How hard could it be, right? Well, I tell the ring leader that they should bring a few changes of clothes and they show up at my house with SUITCASES! These gals had more shoes and accessories than any senior I’ve ever photographed! We took a drive down to scenic Canadian and really had fun together. So thanks for the great day ladies! I hope you enjoy your pictures!

This little lady belongs to my brother’s babysitter and was another client I had on my recent trip back to Perryton. She’s nothing but spunk and we had a great time at this session! The panhandle wind was a bit rough, but she still enjoyed showing off her beautiful flower girl dress!

I love it when I have the oppertunity to go home and visit family and friends. I’ve lived in Houston for 3 years now and though my husband and son are here, Perryton still feels like home to me. I grew up there. My mom, dad, grandmother and brothers are there. It’s one of my favorite places to be and I’m thankful that I was able to spend a few weeks there this month! I was even fortunate enough to book so many photo sessions that I had to extend my stay about 4 days! I know that Mike missed us dearly and I’m very grateful to have such a supportive hubby who doesn’t mine bach’n it a bit while I visit home. Just thought I’d share some pictures from the trip; mainly I just wanted to show pictures with my new lens!

Stayed tuned for Victory School Pumpkin Patch Pictures!

The new “thing” in wedding photography is trashing the wedding dress. Go ahead, you know you want to. Trash it. Get it dirty. Get it wet. Roll around in the mud. Drench it in the ocean. Totally trash it. Why? … Why not? You’ve made a commitment to your husband. He’s your one and only true love, right? Then you’ll never need the dress again. And no, your daughter won’t wear it in 20-30 years. So you have two choices: 1) Suffocate it in plastic and throw it in a closet 2) Show your husband how committed you are by trashing the dress, and get some great fun pictures while you do it! This past weekend I had the oppertunity to meet a bunch of photographers in Deep Ellum, Dallas, Tx for a dress trashing session. I had a blast and met some wonderful “brides”. If you’re interested in trashing your wedding dress, prom dress or any other dress, contact me for more session information!
