I really should be getting my kiddos in bed, but I couldn’t help myself! I had to edit a few and put them up for her to see! It took 2 tries today, but we finally got Miss Madeleine to cooperate. She clearly isn’t a big fan of portraits!! Hope you like your tease Jenn!!

The Birthday Girl {Friendswood Photographer} | Maddie Dean - The Blog: [...] It seems like just a few months ago Jenn and I were out shopping for maternity clothes together and now, both our babies are ONE! The Madeline’s are just 2 months and 1 letter apart - the birthday girl is spelled Madeleine. I was able to put down my books for a few hours on Sunday and go to her first birthday party! Her mom and dad made a fabulous ladybug cake and had some burgers and hotdogs, what else is better on a first birthday? Ms. Madeleine dove right into that cake and it didn’t take long before she had it in her hair, her eyes, ears and nose! There was no stopping that sugarholic! Isn’t she the cutest?! Those red curls are adorable! Anyway, just wanted to take another study break and show off the birthday girl and to let people know that, yes, I am still alive (well, I’m breathing, but I sure feel dead! Nursing school is EXHAUSTING!!) Michael and Jenn, thanks for having us over! It was great to see you guys again! (Here’s the cutie patootie this time last year!!) [...]

View from the other side

August 20, 2008

It’s not often that I’m in front of the camera. I prefer the back side - that way my face isn’t viewable (specifically my double chin) Since mom was down visiting Mike and I took advantage of her and went on our 1st date since Madeline was born! It was nice to get out again as a couple. On the rare occasion when we make it out we never have pictures of us - kind of difficult to get Aiden to take a picture and just a hassle to use the tripod-and-remote method. We finally have a picture of the two of us - so thanks Jackson, you did good dude.

-Sarah-

It only took him three times to get a good shot! We may have 2 photographers in this family!!!

Nice shot of me Jackson…. but what about the rest of Mike?

I promise Mike is really looking at Aiden. He wanted in the picture at the last minute

Yeah Jackson! 3rd time’s the charm buddy!

Todd: Those are all great shots. Wait until Aiden wants to start taking photos. My oldest (Justin) is 5 and has been harping to get a camera. He's got a film camera, but we've never loaded it. Guess it's time!

The Big Bash….

August 19, 2008

Poor little Man… Aiden’s 2nd birthday was rained-out. The storms rolled in around 10:30 Saturday morning and still haven’t left! God had it all under control though. Because of the rain not many could come which was a blessing-in-disguise as we invited those who did show up over to the house! YIKES! I would have freaked if everyone had shown up. We had a nice time though and thankfully Aiden was really too young to understand that he wasn’t going to swim!

misty: I absolutely love the monkey cake!!!! Too cute!

Missie: Did you make the cake?
SO CUTE!

2 already?!?!? I can't believe it!

Maddie Dean Photography: yup, I made it :)

Todd: These photos are great. Love the cake ... I don't think you could ever be called a slacker if you make a cake and cupcakes like that. Our poor kids have had store-bought from the get-go!

Was really nice meeting you guys a few weeks ago at Cindy and Matthew's wedding. Take care!

My baby boy is TWO :(

August 15, 2008

I can’t believe that my sweet little boy is two years old today - talk about something being bitter-sweet. I’ve throughly enjoyed watching him grow and change but I sure do miss my baby! Where has time GONE? It still seems strange to think about having children of my own but Aiden has been such a joy in our lives. He truly is a treasure from Heaven and I cannot imagine my life without him! My family is in town already and Mike’s parents are one their way so Aiden should have loads of attention on his special day! Tomorrow morning is the big swim party - woohoo!! So guess that means I need to stop updating and get to baking and icing!!!

-Sarah-

Just a few minutes old…

6 months….

One year….

k

18 months…..

Pretty close to 2 years…

Here’s the slide show from his 1st year. I’m such a slacker - I haven’t finished his second year yet (been *kinda* busy with a newborn) But I promise to get it done soon…

{[*M.I.S.T.Y*]}: Aww, happy birthday to him! My little boy turned two in January... I still cant believe it either!

I came home to visit my parents just for this weedding. Jenny’s parents are dear family friends and I used to babysit the bride and her brothers. Talk about making a person feel old!!! Jenny and her mom asked that I take a few pictures through out the day: bridal luncheon, hair and makeup, ect. It was nice to not have the pressure of being the “official” photographer. I was able to just relax and have fun. I hope that I got them some images that captured the day. Thanks Jenny and Donna for having me tag along. And to Jenny & Tyler - I wish you guys nothing but the best!!

My BFF!

August 7, 2008

We went to Canadian today so that Nannie could show of the great-grandbabies at bridge club and poor Aiden was scared silly when we walked in the door and 12 old women started fussing over him!! At least Madeline was too young to realize that it’s not cool to have your cheeks pinched :) After they left my best friend Amanda and her husband John stopped by for a visit. They were in town to see Amanda’s new nephew (7.28.08 and weighing 10 lbs 10 oz!!!!!!!) I hadn’t seen her since Christmas -We really hate living so far apart! She got to meet Madeline and her husband was finally able to meet Aiden. I think John was more partial to Maddie though - hoping it gave him some baby fever!! Snapped a few pictures from our visit and since I have some faithful blog readers who accuse me of not sharing enough, so I figured I’d put them here!

Hot Mama!

August 6, 2008
Literally! Carissa was a TROOPER today. The bank said 93 degrees but I’m sure the heat index was much, much higher! She walked all over the streets of downtown Amarillo this afternoon for an ‘Urban Maternity’ session. It was blazing hot, but we came out with some great images. I enjoyed spending time with her as well. So Carissa, hope you enjoy your sneak peek - and rest easy until that little angel gets here!

Carissa: Woo mamma was it hot! haha The pictures look great so far! The picture appointment with you went better than the dr's appointment! haha She needs to cook a little longer! I thought she would've been nice and cooked after today, but no go! The walking was great for me! Great job on the pictures...you are so talented. I enjoyed my afternoon with you!

{[*M.I.S.T.Y*]}: Graeat maternity shots! Her belly is so cute & I love her hair!

I know this lovely bride and her husband from our Spirit Wind days. It was a honor that she asked me to be their photographer and capture their special day. They are a beautiful couple and I have no doubts that they will have a long and loving life together. Congratulations Matthew & Cindy!!
