This wedding was a dream (except for the pesky mosquitos!!) Everything was perfect: the weather, the couple, the cupcakes!  I love simple weddings. So many times the true meaning of love and the real reason for marriage is lost in the hustle and bustle of weddings… not this one. Nothing but pure romance! Weddings like that make my job sooo much easier! Right now this beautiful couple is on their honeymoon cruise, but I know they have anxious friends and family waiting to see a few peaks! Congratulations Christopher & Elyssa. You are both beautiful people, inside and out (yes Chris, even you). It was my pleasure to be a part of your special day! I wish you two a lifetime of happiness!!

I love weddings, but even more than that, I love shooting weddings with one of my dearest friends! This is our third wedding together and I dare say that we’ve gotten the hang of it! We work great together and I look forward to many more I Do’s! Misty asked me a couple of month’s ago to help her shoot this event though it was a small affair, not that she couldn’t totally handle it, it’s just more fun with two! I’m so glad that she invited me to tag-a-long! I had a great time! Marcus and Jill were adorable - completely in love and incredibly laid-back! A wedding photographer couldn’t ask for much more; other than great weather, which we had as well!! The two love-birds are honeymooning in Guatamala, but I couldn’t resist working over some pictures before I sent my shots to MG! Editing is fun when you have a great wedding and a cute couple!

Jill got dressed in the restruarant’s wine cellar and it was a sunning backdrop for pictures! And check on the color’s of her flowers! They were beautiful!!

I’m a huge fan of orchestras, so I really enjoyed the violin duet.
They even continued to play during formal pictures after the wedding - it definitely helped everyone relax and have a great time!

Look at these two!! Aren’t they the cutest couple? I loved the way Marcus would look at her, there was no question about the depth of his love for Jill!!

I can’t wait for Jill’s dad to see this picture! I know Mike would be over-the-moon to have a picture like this with Madeline and after seeing him with Jill, I know he will too!

The wedding party was a great bunch! Some parties look at you like you’re nuts when you tell them that they’re going to be jumping!

One of my favorite parts of a wedding is all of the beautiful details. Many brides spend months & months (and lots of money) planning out their perfect wedding. Now that they’ve found the perfect groom, they worry about finding the perfect dress, choosing the perfect flowers and getting all the decorations just perfect! However, when their perfect day gets here, brides are rushed, excited & nervous so they often don’t get to soak in all of their detailed planning. So, that is where I come in. Yes, I capture the ceremony, the cake cutting, the dancing, and the leaving, but more than that, I get to capture all of those perfect details that bride has worked so long to get *just right*. So Amanda, I just want to thank you and Nathan for allowing me to share your wedding day and I hope you guys had a perfect honeymoon! I’ve been working on your gallery and album and just wanted to share a few of my favorite details from your perfect day! I hope that they show you special things that you may have missed in all the excited of your wedding day!!

This past weekend I had the privilege to photograph the wedding of two very special people. I have known the bride, groom, and their families for a long time, so that made it extra-fun! I drug my dear friend Misty with me and we had a blast! The wedding-day-forecast was gloomy, but it ended up being a bright, sunny, hot day! I know the two love-birds are away on their honeymoon, but there are some anxious family members waiting for this post! Here’s a teaser of your sneak peak! There will be more coming as I finish clearing cards & backing up images! Corby, Kelly, Micah & Kim, you guys have a beautiful children and I am so thankful that you allowed me to capture their special day!!

These two beautiful people were married this past weekend! They were a blast to work with and I know they have a long life ahead of them. I don’t usually cry when I’m photographing a wedding, but Nicole’s dad is a minister and helped officiate and he had the tears streaming down my face! I know I wasn’t the only one sniffling either! It was a beautiful ceremony and I wish you guys the very best! Hope the honeymoon is awesome!!

I came home to visit my parents just for this weedding. Jenny’s parents are dear family friends and I used to babysit the bride and her brothers. Talk about making a person feel old!!! Jenny and her mom asked that I take a few pictures through out the day: bridal luncheon, hair and makeup, ect. It was nice to not have the pressure of being the “official” photographer. I was able to just relax and have fun. I hope that I got them some images that captured the day. Thanks Jenny and Donna for having me tag along. And to Jenny & Tyler - I wish you guys nothing but the best!!

I know this lovely bride and her husband from our Spirit Wind days. It was a honor that she asked me to be their photographer and capture their special day. They are a beautiful couple and I have no doubts that they will have a long and loving life together. Congratulations Matthew & Cindy!!

The new “thing” in wedding photography is trashing the wedding dress. Go ahead, you know you want to. Trash it. Get it dirty. Get it wet. Roll around in the mud. Drench it in the ocean. Totally trash it. Why? … Why not? You’ve made a commitment to your husband. He’s your one and only true love, right? Then you’ll never need the dress again. And no, your daughter won’t wear it in 20-30 years. So you have two choices: 1) Suffocate it in plastic and throw it in a closet 2) Show your husband how committed you are by trashing the dress, and get some great fun pictures while you do it! This past weekend I had the oppertunity to meet a bunch of photographers in Deep Ellum, Dallas, Tx for a dress trashing session. I had a blast and met some wonderful “brides”.
