Medlocks {Friendswood Family Photographer}

It’s always fun to capture cute kiddos, which is pretty much every session I do! But sometimes, they’re extra special. And it’s always a treat when I get to work with a true-life miracle. This sweet boy was born in to this world very early, he was a micro-preemie at just 23 weeks. And look at him! Walks, talks, and full of smiles. There was no shortage of giggles and love in this family <3!!

Cowboy Mav {Friendswood, Tx Family Photographer}

This is my buddy, Mavrick. His daddy & I went to nursing school together, so I think they’re a pretty awesome duo. Mav’s dad needed some updated pictures of the two of them for Christmas gifts, and I was more than happy to spend a Sunday morning with them. I learned that cowboys don’t smile, and broncos buck. It was a lot of fun, but I think my favorite part was the donuts they shared with me afterwards!

Family isn’t an important thing… {Cypress, Tx Family Photographer}

… It’s everything.

Siblings have such an incredible bond; The only thing better than a sister, is having a twin… unless you’re the big brother & you get TWO little sisters, at the same time!  ;)

I have gotten to know this sweet family though my volunteer work with the Children’s Craniofacial Association. Ashley has Apert’s Syndrome. It is a genetic defect and occurs in 1 out of every 160,000 to 200,000 live births – I’d say that makes her pretty darn special! I was so excited that I was able to take their family pictures, and I hope this is the first of many sessions. In June, I will be travelling to St. Louis to  act as the official photographer for Cher’s CCA Kids annual retreat – I will be spending the week with 50+ kids just like Ashley. To say that I’m excited is an understatement! It is an incredible honor that CCA has invited me to hang out with these fantastic kiddos and their parents!

But enough yapping – I want to show off the family now! :)

The Hasselmeier Family {Friendswood Family Photographer}

Meet the Hasselmeiers. They’re a sweet family, but the best part is their stinking cute son! Isn’t he a doll. I seriously just wanted to eat him up!

It was such a pleasure to photograph this family! Aren’t these girls BEAUTIFUL!! (All you have to do is look at their Mama to see why!) I went to high school with their mom and dad, so it made this session even more special! They made a special trip to Canadian just for the session and the girls weren’t too interested! They were wanting to eat and get to the rodeo! Thanks again guys for coming down! Your gallery will be ready very soon – I hope you love these as much as I do!!

Sweet Siblings {Canadian, Tx Photographer}

These 3 kiddos were so easy to photograph. Okay, okay, maybe not *so* easy :) That littlest one was non-stop movement! It’s okay though – one look into his eyes and it didn’t matter how much he moved! Mr. Jet was a doll!! Big brother and sister were the easy ones to photograph! I hope you guys enjoy your sneak peek – I’ll let you know when you’re gallery is finished!

Welcome Home {Friendswood OpLove Photographer}

Last week I had the honor of photographing the homecoming of Marines in Galveston. I was asked by a fellow photographer to help document the moment that her husband held their son for the first time. It was an incredibly emotional event and I don’t think Shawna had any idea it would be such a big-deal with the media! I think she now knows how celebrities feel. The Marines were escorted to Galveston by a local chapter of Patriot Guard. My heart was pounding when heard the motorcycle engines rev’d as they drove down Ferry Rd. I know that all of the wives, fiancees, girlfriends, moms, dads, brothers, sisters, sons and daughters were overcome with emotion. It was truly an amazing experience. I cannot image how the Marines on that bus felt as they pulled onto base…

The local Patriot Guard chapter met the busses in Texas City and escorted them through the island to the base.
It is always such an amazing site to see, and hear. I highly recommend riding with this fine organization if you ever the the opportunity!

OpLove Marine Homecoming

This site reduced me to tears. Even among all of the chaos and the barrage of press photographers I stood there and cried. This little lady was thrilled to see her daddy. But even more exciting was watching this GnySgt hold his prescious newborn son for the first time. It was a very emotional reunion for the entire family!

To the entire family of Gunny Sgt Lockwood, thank you so much for allowing me to capture this amazing moment for you. It was truly an honor. This was my first Homecoming and now I cannot wait to do more. The joy and excitment is truly overwhelming! I hope you have enjoyed your first week together as a family of 4. And Matt, I hope that Shawna has been easy on you and that you’ve had a slow transition into diaper-duty and night-time feedings. May God bless you all!

Want to see more? (I think all three of these contain video clips as well)
